Come one, come all
Whether you’re in the festival business, a non-profit, or you’re a council or government wanting to support local events, Lookatmedia™ allows you to create a media-friendly calendar of events that fits your needs. It’s an opportunity to build a profile for events and festivals big and small, events and festivals that last an hour, or a month, or even longer.
Content that ticks all the boxes for the media
Your calendar of events for the media is different to the calendar of events you create for the public. You are not always aiming for the media to attend these events (although it would be great if they did). Your goal is to create storylines that the media deem ‘newsworthy’. Something that ticks the boxes of proximity, timeliness, impact or consequence, prominence, human interest, novelty or rarity. If you want to get media exposure, your public calendar of events alone simply won’t get the job done.
Discovering events by date range
Events and festivals appear within the Event section of your Lookatmedia™ centre by the actual date they occur. This protocol ensures that events can be seen in the order in which they will run. Journalists, media representatives and influencers can also search for events and festivals by date range, allowing them to find exactly what they need for their content (e.g., Christmas events for a ‘what to do with the kids this Christmas’ article).
